Mr Dalgleish is a Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma surgeon based in Tayside. He specialises in treating all types of knee conditions with both non-operative and surgical techniques. He also treats degenerative hip conditions, general orthopaedics and musculoskeletal trauma.

His particular interests are keyhole surgery of the knee (arthroscopy), knee ligament reconstructions (ACL/PCL/LCL/MCL), meniscal/cartilage repair, patella stabilisations, joint re-alignment surgery (osteotomy), knee replacement (partial and total) and hip replacement. He adopts latest enhanced recovery techniques to enhance patient experience, recovery and rehabilitation.

He qualified from the University of Dundee in 2007, and went on to undertake his orthopaedic specialist training in the East of Scotland Rotation (Tayside and Inverness). He undertook further subspecialist training in Australia on the Perth Sports Surgery Fellowship focussing on all aspect of sports, trauma and reconstructive knee surgery, and on the Hollywood Arthroplasty Fellowship, focusing on primary and revision knee and hip replacement surgery.

Mr Dalgleish is actively involved in the teaching, training and supervision of medical students and trainee surgeons in his role as the Musculoskeletal Lead for Undergraduate Teaching at the University of Dundee Medical School and, as Honorary Senior Lecturer for the Master of Orthopaedics (MChOrth) course.

Mr Dalgleish is committed to providing patient-centred care and has experience of treating patients and athletes from a recreational, amateur level through to international, professional athletes.
