Heal Charity Riverside Run confirmed for 2025

Heal is delighted to host the Riverside Run again this year. 

We encourage you to get active and move more by joining us for a 4km or 2km distance. The event will start next to the River Tay, adjacent to Discovery Point Museum, and head out along the Riverside footpath. There will be turn at 1km for those who chose to walk, a turn at 2km for those who are running. This event is an out and back course and will finish at the same point as the start. The event is all on the pavement with no road sections. As for previous years, the race will start in front of the Discovery Point Museum. 

There will be goody bags for all finishers. Prizes for the 4km First Male and Female runners as well as for the first runners in the Under 20, Senior, over 40, Over 50 and Over 60 age groups (Category prizes will go to the second person in that age group if the overall race winner is in the same category).

After the race there will be some Tea/ Coffee and Cakes available at the Heal Physiotherapy Clinic, 14 Dudhope Street, Dundee, DD1 1JU. 

All entry fees and monies raised this year will go to Diabetes UK. 

Diabetes UK is a national charity that campaigns for better care, give support in times of need and fund ground-breaking research into new treatments and a cure. It’s mission is to tackle diabetes, day in and day out, until it can do no harm. Our late colleague Coleen O’Neill inspired this charity selection. Coleen was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes aged 14. Unfortunately, the condition significantly impacted Coleen’s health, and she was awaiting her second kidney transplant when she suddenly passed away just over 2 years ago. She had an infectious laugh, a huge capacity for fun and for love, and is missed by many.  Diabetes UK mattered to Coleen, and while working at Heal she set herself the challenge to walk 100miles while fundraising for the charity. We are delighted to continue this legacy in her honour.

Race Limit 150 - Aged 16 and over Registration from 5.00 pm - Adjacent to Discovery Point Museum, Dundee Parking available at Discovery Point WC at Museum but no changing facilities, so please come prepared to run. 

Results and Presentation of Prizes at Heal Physiotherapy Clinic, 14 Dudhope Street, Dundee, DD1 1JU after the race. Tea and cakes will be available!
