Mr Alipour-Tootoonchi (Faz Alipour) is a consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon based in Tayside. He has been a Trauma & Orthopaedic consultant in NHS Tayside since 2004.

Mr Alipour’s main elective Orthopaedic sub-speciality interests are hip and knee arthroplasty (replacement) procedures as well as knee arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery. He has extensive experience in these procedures, both in the NHS and in private health care settings.

Mr Alipour has been trained in robotic hip and knee replacement procedures and is able to offer these procedures to his private patients at Albyn Hospital, Aberdeen. Faz has offered private practice treatment from the BMI Fernrae Hospital in Dundee since 2005 and following the closure of this unit in April 2019, he has transferred his private practicing privileges and admission rights to the Albyn Hospital in Aberdeen as well as the Kings Park Hospital in Stirling.
