Emma Dyce
PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Emma graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Robert Gordon University in 2014. Following graduation, she moved to Dundee and worked within NHS Tayside as a rotational physiotherapist at a Band 5 and Band 6 level. Within the NHS she completed rotations in various departments, including musculoskeletal outpatients, orthopaedics, amputees, and community rehabilitation. During this time she completed my orthopaedic medicine peripheral module. After over 4 years within NHS Tayside, she decided it was time for a change and started working at Heal Physiotherapy in February 2019.

Since Joining Heal Emma has completed my APPI Matwork Pilates levels 1-3 and has been taking classes since the beginning of 2020. She spent some time working in the St Andrews clinic working with the University Occupational Health Service and Saints Sports athletes. Now she currently works with Sports Scotland Institute of Sport twice a week. This involves providing physiotherapy support for high-level performance athletes. To supplement this, she has completed a physiotherapy Strength and Conditioning course.  Emma completed her Masters Degree in Sports and Exercises Science and Medicine with the University of Glasgow and is also acupuncture trained and currently studying The Athletic Female.  She is passionate about women in sport.

Outside of work Emma plays Rugby for Dundee Valkyries. She is proof that physiotherapy works as she managed to rehabilitate herself following an ACL rupture in 2019 and is now back on the pitch! She also attend CrossFit classes to help maintain her fitness, which also goes nicely with her interests in sports rehabilitation.
