Sophie Smith
PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Sophie graduated from Robert Gordon University in 2025 with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy. During her studies, she gained a broad range of experience through both NHS and private clinical placements, working with patients across a variety of settings and conditions. Shortly after qualifying, she joined the Heal team.

Her journey into physiotherapy was inspired by her background as an elite swimmer. Years of training and competition gave Sophie a strong understanding of the physical demands placed on the body, as well as the importance of effective injury management and rehabilitation. This experience has shaped her approach as a clinician, giving her a genuine appreciation of how physiotherapy can support recovery, enhance performance, and help individuals reach their full potential in sport, work, and everyday life.

Sophie has also worked as a Physiotherapist for Montrose Women’s Football Club in the Scottish Women’s Premier League. In this role, she gained valuable experience in assessing and managing sports-related injuries, supporting players through rehabilitation, and implementing injury prevention strategies within a team environment.

She has undertaken additional training in Dry Needling, Level 4 Sports Massage, Sports Taping, and Pilates Matwork, enabling her to provide a wide range of treatment techniques tailored to each individual.

Outside of work, Sophie enjoys staying active and making the most of her time outdoors. She loves travelling and exploring new places, as well as keeping fit through running, surfing, and yoga.
