Emma Dyce
PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Emma graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Robert Gordon University in 2014. After qualifying, she moved to Dundee where she worked within NHS Tayside as a rotational physiotherapist at Band 5 and Band 6 levels. During this time, Emma gained extensive experience across a range of specialties including musculoskeletal outpatients, orthopaedics, amputee rehabilitation, and community rehabilitation. She also completed the Orthopaedic Medicine Peripheral Module.

After more than four years with NHS Tayside, Emma joined Heal Physiotherapy in February 2019. Since then, she has continued to expand her clinical skillset, completing APPI Matwork Pilates Levels 1–3 and delivering Pilates classes since early 2020.

Emma has also worked within the St Andrews clinic, supporting the University Occupational Health Service and student athletes from Saints Sport. She currently works twice a week with the SportScotland Institute of Sport, where she provides physiotherapy support to high-performance athletes.

To complement her clinical work, Emma completed a Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Science and Medicine at the University of Glasgow. She has also undertaken further training in acupuncture, concussion rehabilitation, and the treatment of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). In addition, she has completed a physiotherapy Strength and Conditioning course and both modules of the Athletic Female programme, reflecting her strong interest in women’s sport.

Outside of work, Emma plays rugby for Dundee Valkyries. Having successfully rehabilitated herself following two ACL ruptures, she is a strong advocate for the benefits of physiotherapy. She also regularly attends CrossFit classes to maintain her own fitness and further support her interest in sports rehabilitation.
