Pilates Matwork Classes

Matwork classes focus on a series of movements incorporating flexibility, strength and mobility. Our instructors will guide you through the exercises and allow you to progress at your own pace.  We ensure you are as comfortable or challenged as you want to be. Small equipment such as weights, foam rollers and resistance bands are used to enhance the exercises. By keeping the class sizes small, Heal Pilates classes focus on technique and individual progress.

We run Pilates classes every day and all our classes are taught by qualified Physiotherapists. Classes are capped at a maximum of 11 participants per class and run in blocks of 6-8 weeks.

Please note all new Pilates clients are required to attend and induction class prior to booking into a block of Pilates*. Please contact us for details of the next induction class dates.

*If you are have attended Pilates at Heal or elsewhere you please let us know as this may be not required.

 

Pilates Classes

Mixed level- These classes would be ideal for clients who are either new to Pilates or for clients who wish to maintain or improve their level of strength and flexibility. Your physiotherapist will demonstrate the various levels of exercises allowing you to work at a level you are most comfortable in.

Level expected to perform- Level 1-3

Intermediate classes- These classes are ideal for clients who have substantial Pilates experience and are able to demonstrate adequately the key elements of Pilates. This class would be suited to clients who are looking for a bit of a challenge. Clients who wish to attend advanced classes should speak to their physiotherapist.

Level expected to perform- Level 3 and above
